Personal background
Greetings...I'm the one playing white with sunglasses on my head...I'm a 41 year old US Postal Service worker. I became involved with Seti because of my respect for the late Carl Sagan. His series, Cosmos, sparked my love for science. Astronomy has been one of my life long hobbies. I am married to a loving supportive woman, and have two step-children all grown(my stepson is a nuclear engineer in the Navy, my stepdaughter is a geological engineer) as well as a seven year old daughter...with whom I'm trying to give a love of science as well. My other interests include the game of Chess, I play in a couple tournaments here in Minnesota each year. I enjoy reading, classical lit., philosophy, science, for casual reading I enjoy horror as well as erotica.
I write as well, some of my works are at:

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Why do I run SETI@home....because I can! Because it's worthwhile. Because it's something larger than myself...a part of a very large group of folks doing something that just might change how we see the human race, life on our little grain of sand...with all the implications that this change would mean! Read Sagan's book "Contact" ...get the sense of excitement...and you'll run seti also.
