Not much to say really. I hate talking about myself, the less I let you know about me, the less likely you'll be to think ill of me. (My Gawd, did I actually say that.


Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
SETI is one of the most exciting lines of research today. Granted the fruits of this research are so far a bit lean, when a discovery is made it will impact our perspective of Life, the Universe, and Everything so dramatically that no other discovery will be able to hold a candle to it. I have grown quite sceptical over the years, but that is more a pragmatic thing that outright disbelief. However, the universe is a VERY large place and I can't acccept that we terrans are the only, ore even the most advanced life in it. As such we are obligated to strive to make contact with whatever may be out there.

As part of this obligation to science, I have chosen to participate in the SETI@home project. I have contributed on and off since the very early days. One of the coolest things about SETI@home is that by bringing the project to users throughout the world it makes this research and possible discovery a human project without regards to borders, race, or religion.
