Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I am convinced of the great likelihood that there are folk out there and think that it would be interesting to hear from them.

Not to at least try would be to deny our most basic human traits of curiosity and gregariousness.

Given that light-speed signals from many light-years away, come from many years ago, don't expect results for a while. It mak be a better idea to assume that they (whoever) has solved the problem of the light-speed barrier. If so, what signalling system might they use?
