Personal background
I'm a US Navy PO1 with an interest in many things pertaining to science. Currently a network analyst. Having an understanding of math in scientific terms, I find it only reasonable to assume out of the billions of stars we can contemplate in the many thousands of galaxies(that we know of!) The possibilites of life on other planets is a foregone conclusion....Let's not forget the unknowns of black holes, relativity, etc...

I'm also interested in the concept of faster than light travel. Primarily the theory dealing with the "bending" of space in the forward and lengthening behind. I know this is a crude explanation of the concept, but one that I can visually interpret...
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
How many universes? (That itself makes the term universe a misnomer)

How many galaxies within each universe?

How many stars?

How many planets capable of life?

Do you really think we as humans are the peak of developement in the universe?

Theologically: Why would God have put it there if he didn't expect us to question or explore it?
