Personal background
a typical student, who spend to much time on the internet, but the good thing is that seti is all the time running!! :-) , so my computer is very friendly to me.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
i'm sure that extraterrestrial life exists, there are so many stars in our world, i think it's normal that there is another world like ours, i think that humans discover this, around 2100, the danger is that at that moment they want to control that world, just like other planets, because all our minerals are exhausted, so we need new sources all the time.

if we send a signal, to which direction? and if it hit that world, that form of life couldnt understand that signal i think, if they are intelligent, they could find us without a signal.

im very interested in space, aliens, ... so i have a fast computer and i think its better that i use my processor to work than to run a simple screensaver

its a very good idea to run seti, its a very good program, but maybe its better when you attract more users by advertising, ... i discovered it by a lucky coincidence, so is that normal that a good thing like that isnt very well known here (belgium/europe), there are a lot of people who know this program, but in the USA there a lot more users, but there arent so many people like in europe, so there are thousands of computerers here who could help, but they dont know the program
