Personal background
My name is Phil Plowman. I am 37 years old and I am a systems engineer for the power company in Miami, Florida for over 11 years. I have always been interested in space exploration and I am a member of the Planetary Society as well other space exploration groups. I enjoy working with computers and exploring the sky for celestial events.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I believe that it is the responsibility of every inhabitant of our planet to explore inner/outer space. SETI@home provides everyone with the opportunity to be a part of the exploration of the universe.

I currently run SETI@home on 6 computers operating 24/7. I believe that we will eventually locate ET and hopefully unlock the secrets of the universe. It is nieve of us to believe that we are alone in this vast expanse. There must be others out there that are more advanced that can possibly help solve many of our societies problems such as disease and environmental issues. We must do our part to assist in the search of the heavens to find the answers to many questions. The search for ETI may provide these answers and ultimately benefit humanity.
