Personal background
I am 40 years old and am Technical Director of a New Media Production company in the West End in London. I registered with SETI in 1999 and believe that the SETI Project emodies the true community spirit of the web.

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I find it difficult to believe that Earth is the only planet capable of sustaining life. Perhaps "E.T." has already put in an appearence and we don't know.

I started running SETI in the first place because I think the concept of harnessing the mass of unused processing power is truly organic. The ability to use Man's advances in technology to create a global, organic community that can actually contribute to something so worth while is fantastic.

My only suggestion for SETI would be to make the screen saver actually save the screen. Having run the program for 2 years, I have the fixed portion of the screen saver nicely "burnt" into my monitor. So now, I have to remember to turn off the monitor in order to save the screen. Please could you randomise the screen saver so that "burn in" won't happen.
