| Personal background |
Hailing originally from Nogales Sonora Mexico (transplanted there from Hidalgo del Parral Chihuahua), a mid sized town in the northern border of Sonora - a few steps north Nogales Arizona is found. Starting 2004 I spend a good portion of the day working as a Radio Broadcast Engineer in New York, at nights I live in the shadows as the drummer for the best Hard Rock/Metal covers band in New York City Lyxx.
My hobbies include: Surfing the internet, Music, Travel and last but not least: RETROcomputing; I just love all the great 8-bit technology of yesteryear.
On March 2005 I started using BOINC... so far so good...
If so inclined please visit our Team OS9 page, a humble effort to band together the fortunate souls that have discovered one of the best Real Time Operating Systems: Microware's OS9. For me, it all started with the Tandy Color Computer - too bad there isn't a Seti@Home client to run in the CoCo, otherwise... |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |
I believe life in other places of the universe exists, some life forms might even be radically different of what we are familiar with, meaning that we could find life not based in hydrocarbons like on Earth - this only makes the thought of one day getting to find diverse lifeforms something simply overwhelming and exciting.
The SETI@home project is by far the most interesting wide distributed project I participate in. The great equalizer, just look at the members listing to find out from how diverse places and with diverse means we're all joined together!
To all, keep up the good work, and stay tuned to SETI@home. |
