Hi. My name is Eng Aun and I'm from Penang, Malaysia. I am a student studying Form 6 (pre-U). Currently my PC run SETI@home as well as Mersenne Prime Search.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I decided to participate in this project after hearing a talk at my school. I have heard of SETI@home since 1999, but the lack of internet connection has stopped me from participating in the project. I think this project provides a much more effective means of utilizing computing power throughout the world without spending too much as building a supercomputer. I think more people will participate in the project if more publicity is given, especially through education and advertising.
