Profile: Lynne Doucette-Vernon

Personal background
Greetings from Planet Earth. My name is Lynne. I live in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada with my artist husband, Michael and our Beagle, Baby - who thinks that she owns us and is the human.
I am now retired. While living in Toronto, I ran, published and edited my own Community Newspaper. To occupy my time now, I run a support group for Mental Illness and I am also an Admin on a FREEBIE SITE.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I run SETI@home because I believe in the Project. Other scientific projects have now begun due to the success of SETI. I am very proud to be a part of SETI.

It is my belief that there is life out there. Hopefully, it will be in my lifetime that this great discovery will occur.

As a member of the human race, I feel that it is paramount and our responsibility that we reach out to other civilizations and worlds in peace and goodwill. It is my prayer that if we are discovered by another world, that the citizens of that world do not believe that what they have observed here on this planet is not the true esscence of our society. I hope that they realize that there are peace loving individuals who only want to share knowledge and cultures.
