Profile: Matthew Bartek

Personal background
I am a dork. No doubt about it. But, I am an altruistic dork. That's why I love distributed computing. I have run SETI@Home ever since I heard about it a few years ago and it has provided me with not only a beautiful screen saver, but also that warm fuzzy feeling that I get knowing that I am helping science in some small way.

I just graduated from Dartmouth and I am living in DC working in Public Health. I especially like the projects that help solve practical problems that pertain to medicine and making the world a better place.
