Personal background
Hello,
I'm a medical doctor, currently a resident of Gastroenterology.
I live and work in Athens, Greece.
Not being religious (although my ID card describes me as Orthodox Christian), I find it hard to believe that we should be all alone in this, immense, Universe.
Having read some science and a lot of fiction I am convinced that radiowaves are currently our best chance to communicate with whatever is out there.
I hope to do my tiny part by participating at SETI@home.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1) I ran it when I had a 486 processor (before 1998) and even then I hoped I could make a contribution. I feel it is worth the time and energy.
2) I have not monitored it's progress of late, but I'm sure it is worthwhile. I think anything that brings us together, irrespective of nation, race creed and heritage is.
3) None yet.
