Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think exta terrestrial life almost certainly exists. Humans should transmit a beacon although we should be wary of the results - history is filled with embryonic civilisations being wiped out and absorbed when they meet more advanced ones. I run seta@home becase it's a) a good cause and b) I have lots of spare cpu cycles.
