Personal background
I work from home most days doing graphics (can you tell?) and some web design. My computer is on almost 24-7 and it almost seems I am too.

I enjoy sailing, surfing and fencing, reading, cable TV and fast Internet connections. I enjoy FS2004 and Ghost Recon (I mod missions and characters)

Actually, I have been a member of SETI for years now, I just switched accounts.

- Vantec Tornado 92mm (120 CU Ft. Min. mounted on CPU - Screaming away atop the heat sink keeping everything cool)

- 650 Watt Power Supply w/dual fans

- MSI NVIDIA FX5600 Video card 128 MB RAM (W/ PCI slot fan right next to it)

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Praise:

I respect your research goals as I believe it might be rather arrogant of us to believe that there is not other "life" in the universe. We are a species who are most often curiosity driven, why not explore the heavens? What greater satisfaction is there than discovery?

Suggestions:

It would be nice if there were more graphics options come to think of it. An overlay that one could control the transparency that would be "palatable" on custom desktops for advanced users. Sizeable off to the left or right of the screen like many of the motherboard and network monitors? I would love a flat graphics option. Perhaps something like on CoolMon2
