Profile: Foggy

Personal background
Yes, I'm Foggy, and I'm a Californian of the Nerdus genus. Don't email me, don't ICQ me, don't IM me, just stare silently at my name. I have nothing to give you except for possum-feeding tips, and information about Kit-Kat candy. Lesse... don't feed possums anything you might want, and I'm going to list the ingredients of a Kit-Kat bar: Sugar, flour, cocoa butter, nonfat milk, chocolate, refined palm kernel oil, lactose, milk fat, soya lecithin, PGPR, yeast, sodium bicarbonate, vanillin. I trust that this solves anything. Ever.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
E.T.s exist. Period. I mean, what are the chances of an infinite (maybe) universe with nothing intelligent in it but us? That's the terra-centricist thing I've ever heard! Now, will we find them in the next, say, 500 years? Probably not. Moving right along... Should humans transmit a beacon? Sure! If no one transmitted a beacon, how would those aliens know that we existed? What info should we send? How would we send info? In a message of ones and zeroes? What if the aliens don't use binary? What if the aliens have their version of SETI@home, but nothing shows up? We're taking alot of chances here. Maybe 01011101010001010 means "Hello" in our system but "Die you fools" in theirs? It's past my bedtime so I'll just duck out.
