Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. Yes I do think extraterrestrial life exists. I don't believe that we are the only lifeforms in such a vast universe.

Assuming extraterrestrial life is more advanced than we are then, I suppose, they wouldn't want to make contact with an immature race of humans that spend most of their time squabbling and fighting with each other. It would probably want to leave us alone for a few million years to mature sufficiently.

2. What will they make of us? It's awful to think that the first broadcast transmission that was strong enough to be sent ,from Earth, out into space was Adolf Hitler's 1933 Olympic Games speech.

If we do send out a beacon it should start:

...PLEASE IGNORE ANY PREVIOUS TRANSMISSIONS!

3. I read Carl Sagan's book CONTACT about 15 years ago. It fired my imagination and when the internet made it possible to communicate with site's like SETI. I was thrilled at the chance to do even the smallest thing to help in the search for Extraterrestrial Life.

I'm sure life is out there. It's just waiting for US to grow up!
Keep up the good work.
