Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
The truth, or at least possible life is out there. :) Since it is up to private netizens to provide funds and resources, I'm contributing.

As the decades have gone by, my estimates of intelligent life in the universe have dropped greatly, including any on Earth. :) But the galaxy is large enough that I think there are a few species at any one time. To deny even a remote possibility is to put ourselves in a vast but lonely cage without bars.

If there truly is no life in the Milky Way, let us seed it at sublight speeds. Ten megayears should do it.
