Profile: Michael McMillan

Personal background
I have always been interested in watching the skies, ever since I was the age of 16, I would look up and wish that someday I would meet an alien. I beleive in alien presence, as this universe is too Big to have just one habital planet.

I have a telescope, which I use often, and since finding BOINC (by Accident), I have renewed my interest in the unknown. now I am running both my work pc and home pc 24/7 to crunch the data with the hope of finding a signal of unknown origin.

I own my own business of renting DVD's and Video's to the general public, and my favourite science fiction programmes is; Babylon 5, Andromeda and Star Trek Voyager, although I like the X-files, I found that the 1st 3 mentioned are more realistic to the unknown than any other sci-fi I have ever seen.

I also have a fear of the unknown after watching "Independance Day",and "V".
as both these sci-fi's could depict what might happen if ever we come upon aliens; although unlikely of aliens attacking us for no apparent reason, I will reserve my own opinions on this matter.

After joining Seti and Boinc, My time on the computer has tripled, I hope and wish that I could be one of the first to discover the signals coming from Berkeley University through their transponders to my PC.

Finally, I wish to thank the programmers at Seti/Boinc for their work and all participants in this project, as this is as important to humankind as life itself.
