I am a physicist. I live in NJ and work for one of the major aerospace companies. Rather than actually describe myself, I think I will describe why I'm enamored by projects like SETI.
Physics is not only a study of the known but a chance to consider the imponderable. All of the true mysteries of life are in those areas. We are glib in the description of energy, of mass, and (other) quantum numbers. This glibness, however, is really in how these things combine and react; not in what they really are. I'll probably never actually answer any of the real questions, but it sure is fun to think about them.

| I am running SETI@ Home because I believe it to be one of the most important excercises I can participate in. It may not succeed, but to ignore the possibility would be idiotic. |
