ETIS-MEDUME is a group of Extra-Terrastial Intelligence Seachers sponsored by MEDUME computers (TerraXY).
In 1999 we started as a group: Cloggi joined the SETI@HOME project in the early days of SETI. He infected Jan Frans & Jan infected TerraXY. Terraxy started de group.
TerraXY started to use SETI as a computer reference: with statistic analyses of several systems he used SETI for tuning / optimizing computer systems and software.
BOINC is by default a much better system for this kind of analysing: data-gathering is much simpeler: (SETI-Berkeley does the job :) )
At the moment we are developing an automatic reference.
Further more TerraXY is busy to promote the use of LOFAR & Astron data for simular project als SETI.
SETI-Berkeley is searching for aliëns: ETIS-MEDUME does the job! We don´t search for alièns: We just find them!
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Why:
We just want 2 prove that Extra-Terrastial Intelligenge exist or not.
Until otherwise proven does ETI not exist. (We believe in the scientific approach)
What:
SETI@HOME & BOINC-SETI are initial programs. We dont believe it is good enought 4 complete covering. (The data kan be processod otherwise & the project scan just a part of the ubiverse)
Suggestions:
Don't overdo: 2 or 3 times is enought of redundancy.
Use data from other projects.
Use LOFAR data 4 improved resolution
Start a separate LOFAR project!!
