Profile: Ryan Case

Personal background
Hey everybody,

My name is Ryan Case and I live here in good ol' Illinois in the USA. I am 26 yrs old and work in the the field of Electrical Engineering and hold an AAS Degree in the same. I am currently back in college pursuing my Bachleors degree in Management and will pursue my MBA in the future.

My hobbies are devoted mostly to my Saltwater Aquarium, mountain biking, meteorolgy, collecting all my 80's hair band albums (I'm a huge Iron Maiden fan), and school.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I do think ETL does extist. I mean, the universe is so huge, to think we're the only ones out there is fairly closed minded. It's hard to say how humans will come into contact with life outside of our own. They could just show up one day for all we know.

We should transmit a beacon out into space. Just basic info would do. Some info about the planet and the life that's on it.

Currently I my 2GHz Dell scanning the project. It's fairly fast turning out work at about 4.5 hours a unit. I plan to add another system in the coming months and get even more work done. My thoughts on the project are positive. Why should only one group scan data. Far more info can be scanned if the program is made public.
