I am in Biloxi Mississippi and I am 54 years old. I am a Technical and Occupational Instructor and am currently teach Computer Security Management. If I where to pick one thing that I consider as a hobby that would be computers but I do like to fish occationally. Don't let my age fool you I am a young thinker just slower moving.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
The main reason that I use SETI is that I am a firm believer that we are not alone in this vast universe. One day our technology will enable us to communicate much further and faster than could be imagined. But in the mean time I want to do what I can to aid in finding our counterparts across the lightyears. There are many theories as to what is out there in space but to me I feel that mankind will make contact very soon and it will be out of the federal governments hands when it happens. We should be sending out signals to the far reaches of space but because our current technology we would be dead and gone before they could respond. We are making marvelous advances in laser communications and I beleive that that is our answer to communicating over long distances in relatively short time. I personlly would like to be the first one to break the silence from space but I know that is simply luck of the draw. I can only increase my chances by downloading as many data streams as possible. So Arecibo keep receiving. Oh by the way I was born in Arecibo. Unfortunately, I just installed my new computer and have no personal file. So no Picture of me. Darn!
