nice meeting you, that you re reading my profile!
I'm Alex, italian, born in 1974 , Scorpio. I lived and worked in Spain,UK,Ireland and Holland. Now I'm back to Italy, live in Tuscany in the Chianti Area or as Brits and other foreigners call it Chianti Shire ;-)
I'm just your ordinary salesman, who had many experiences in life and loads of bed time stories to tell his children when I'll have some ;-)
Graduated in Marketing in Spain, I'm working to start my own business hopefully soon.
well that's not much but I'm at work right now and I have other responsabilities to attend to ;-)

| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

1. I do it because the programm seems serious enough to me to give it a shot.
Costs nothing to users "lending" their PC computing power to do it...and then again..if you do not play you do not win..said an English ad on Lottery. Maybe it is a far shot but unless someone else have a better idea, I'll stick to it.
2. That is a Question with capital "Q" ! Searching and the need to discover the truth about things and about the world and why not the Universe that surrounds us is part of our Human Nature. Is this the best way to do it? not sure. Shal lwe invest more into this matters? If we changed our "mass illusion" society that revolves only about money, definetly! But maybe we should try and make this world a place to be proud of before reaching the stars..then again..the very idea of another lifeform as we intend life is intriguing enough to try out SETI ..If I could have a dream come true in my life I'd choose a Third Contact, revealing the world not the "Truth" but simply showing we are not alone and that all our ridicolus petty wars and discussionss need to have new priorities and seen under a wider prospective.
3.1 Contact translators without borders to have the site updated on regular bases for free and in more languages.
3.2 Have Windows install SETI@home as a default program ;-) a bit of marketing with Bill Gate's World Software Leader company and who knows..just like Lottery..try it out...you may "trade" info on SETI@home users in exchange. I'm sure 90% of us on site would gladly accept this to see a huge growth of Seti@home user in exchange and multiply our chances to..Win the Galactic Lottery.
