| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

When anyone asks if extraterrestrial life exists, I think of the movie Contact, where Jodie Foster's character states that if there were no life out there... it would be a great waste of space. So I agree with that statment, I actually hope that there is other life out there. However, I do feel that unless for some stroke of luck, we wont find them for a long time... if they do not find us first.
I feel that we don't need to send beacons.... our radio waves and tv signals are good enough... and thats all completely passive on our part. |
