Profile: Tandler

Personal background
A misplaced research biochemist who wound up in human resources management handling people instead of test tubes.

I have two allowable hobbies, that is, two hobbies my wife allows me to have. First is a life long love of wood carving. My grandfather taught me and I just kept developing and enjoying. I earned the "Master Carver" designation in 1989, but still feel there's still so much to learn and try. The second is competition shooting with pre-1840 firearms (muzzleloaders). Using my carving skills I even made my own rifle, using pre-1840 techniques. In 2003 I even managed to win a National Championship.
