| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |
It would be very strange, and rather disturbing, if intelligent life did not exist elsewhere in the universe.
SETI@home is a rare thing: a means to act directly and actively in a human endeavour which is truly progressive. The fruits of our technological civilization must be directed outwards in just such a fashion, regardless of the success or failure of this particular project. I am proud to participate. |
