Do you think extraterrestrial life exists? If so, when and how will humans discover it?
Yes. Maybe we already have discovered ET life, or maybe we are ET life. How to discover it... I think we'll just bump into each other one of these days ;-)
What are the possible benefits and dangers of such a discovery?
If they are anything like the human race we will be exticnt before we get to know them. If they are more enlightened and very tolerant, then the benefits may be boundless.
Should humans transmit a beacon for others to find? If so, what information should we send?
I'm not sure, one look at our troubled world and they would probably turn away!
Why do you run SETI@home? What are your views about the project? Any suggestions?
I have been running SETI@home on and off since my 386sx days. I love the idea of the project and just hope that our new friends will be very understanding.
