I am a high school astronomy instructor in New Jersey. I also teach photograhy, technical drawing, and world history. After hours I coach shot, discus, and javelin throwing. I have been doing this for 3 decades. Hobbies include international travel, electronics, gardening, photography, Asian food, and science experimentation.

| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |
Although I am skeptical about discovering intelligent extraterrestrial life, the importance of such a discovery makes SETI participation worthwhile. Moreover, the data ultimately may be of use in astronomical science.
In the past SETI was a fun and constructive use of many old computers. Sadly, the inability, or resolve, to port SETI to old Power Macs now limits may SETI participation to one machine. |
