I work at a local University in IT and worked in industry for several years before coming here. I'm a DAoC junkie and play hockey twice a week to keep in shape. Montreal is my city and I love to go out and hit the town, no better place then Montreal to do it.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Like all of us here I believe there is something more then just our little planet out there in the universe. Why they would want to communicate with us is beyond me but I suppose if there are "intelligent" beings out there, there must also be dumb ones. :)
For those of you who don't share my cynical outlook of humanity, just flip on CNN once in a while and have a taste.
Ok enough of that. :P
I think this project is an excellent utilization of idle CPU time. Glad to see that other projects have decided to use this resource as well.
