i'm a sound engineer and video editor from the Netherlands and have participated in the seti@home project for the last 11 years...
I own my own audio / video production company and work at a regional broadcaster in the Netherlands.
Totally enjoy good music, jazz thru to anything danceable. Love great movies.

From before the day i started submitting computer cycles i've been an sure that extraterrestrial life is out there.
The question is in what form and what intelligence it might have.
I'm afraid i do agree with Stephen Hawking; it might not be a benign entity and even if it is, what harm could come to us? Obviously it would be a technological vastly superior 'race'. And our encounter on the east side of the Americas didn't turn out to well for the native population when exposed to European diseases....
But the glum ideas aside; I truly love what Seti is trying to accomplish and wouldn't it be wonderful to have some form of confirmation on the thing we know to be true? :)
