Profile: Howard Bland

Personal background
I am an RN turned Computer Technician for several years.
I was born in Brooklyn, New York
I am 45 YO
Salt Water Aquaria is my hobby and I love to play pool, rollerblade and cycle.
Seti@home struck my interest when I saw it on a friend's computer as a screen saver. I first liked the graphical interface but after asking about it I proclaimed my interest and nightly listening to the Art Bell Show -Coast to Coast AM.
I believe there are others in the Universes. Perhaps, they are here but I am not convinced of their presence. It is a bit of a stretch but a lot of information that our government suppresses can lead to much speculation. However, I understand the need to suppress some information as society is NOT READY to be introduced to extraterrestrials. In some ways it is not such a stretch with the cosmic information we now have and an open mind.
My thoughts and opinions,
Howard
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I run SETI@HOME because there is so much information out there and our technology cant process it fast enough to decipher it all. Everyone's help is needed and this is my way of being involved at this point.

In regard to extraterrestrial life, I do believe it exists. And in like form! Or with the ability to transform. Any society that can move as quickly as we have over the past 15 years, is evidence enough in itself to believe that other societies out there in the world can have the power to transform life structures to a more familiar form. How about using illusion? Interesting?
