Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I believe that there is life all around us if we can learn to discover it. Danger exists everyday for us, yet we are still here. I believe that we will discover some sort of life before December of 2012. I think that sometimes the thing you are looking for is right in front of you, but you don't see it.
I think that we are already transmitting enough information for anyone who is looking for us. If they choose to make contact is a different story.
I run SETI@home because I feel that who ever is not part of the problem is part of the solution.
I think that this project is a teaching tool to others.
SETI@home and Astropulse are funded by grants from the National Science Foundation, NASA, and donations from SETI@home volunteers. AstroPulse is funded in part by the NSF through grant AST-0307956.
