Profile: Maj. Krenath vestai-Veska

Personal background
I'm over 41 now but believe I'm only as old as I feel. I feel about 17.

I'm a software developer, and among my hobbies are rock climbing, SCUBA diving, paintball, SCCA autocross racing, and I often amuse myself with science fiction, scifi conventions, fandom, costuming, and fanfilms.

Get a life? Got one. Pays pretty well. But I have to do something in my spare time and I find that drinking beer and watching football on television just doesn't get my heart beating. I've never been one to entertain myself by just watching someone else actually do something.

I've been 160 feet underwater and dove on a sunken aircraft carrier and a german submarine. I've swam with sharks without a cage. I've raced my car in the rain. I've stood on a mountain and watched fireworks below me.

Where have you been lately?
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Yes, there are billions and billions of stars. And among those stars are billions and billions of planets, with the potential for millions and millions of them to support life of some kind.

And they're all billions and billions and billions of miles away. Likely, the only way we'll ever hear from intelligent life somewhere else is through signals sent between the stars as opposed to up close and personal visitation.

Whatever's out there, the only way to find out is to look.
