Profile: Phillip Franck

Personal background
I'm a theatrical lighting designer teaching in the theatre department at Vanderbilt University in Nashville. I've been interested in extraterrestrial life since an early age, no doubt due to an upbringing steeped in Star Trek. I've been an avid reader of science fiction since I was 10, and have always been interested in space and space exploration.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
When I first heard about SETI@home on NPR in 1998, I couldn't wait to participate! Imagine my anguish when I had to wait months to sign up. How could you not want to be involved in the search for extraterrestrial life?

I am thrilled that the project continues, and will be with it as long as it does!
