Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I have always been interested in the prospect of finding other intelligence out there in the vast wilderness of the universe.

I remember watching 'Horizon' on The Search for ET and being totally fascinated with the distinct prospect of finding extraterrestrial life in space.

However, my thoughts on the definition of 'extraterrestrial life' are somewhat more pessimistic than most people.

My criteria for finding life is not the living breathing alien of science fiction but of single cell organisms or the building blocks of life found in soil samples of the many uninhabited distant worlds we send probes to.

I hope the SETI@home project finds something 'out there' whether that be a far, far distant planet which we can only detect through radio wavers, or "HI YOUR NOT ALONE WOW SIGNAL" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The challenge of finding out about space, how it originated and the future for Earth is out there.

All we can do is listen !!!!!!!!!!

WELCOME TO SETI
