We will eventually dwell on another planet within our solar system (Mars is all that I can expect).
We are going nowhere until we discover something similar to what seemed impossible one or two hundred years ago (the car, plane, internet etc.).
The ridiculous might be possible (I could be burned at the stake for this at an earlier time), but, how about travelling beyond the speed of light. We know today that this is impossible and if we could, it would destroy any of us while doing so.
My imagination sees us moving from spot A to B without time or speed being an impediment.
Bring on the firewood and flints. I'm going to burn.
