| I am a Believer. I have lived in a lot of places, but call San Diego home (although I am not there now). Ever since I can remember I have loved looking up at the night sky. Maybe (even as a child) I have been waiting for something, without knowing what that something may be. I hope to know what it is some day, but I don't think I'll find out on this world. I have always loved science fiction books and movies, and would be the first to say "Beam me up Scotty"! I think I was born way too early! I just hope I'm still here when something is found to prove that we aren't alone--wouldn't it be a great waste of space if we were. "I Believe" says Mulder-and so do I. |

| I got SETI@home because I want to be a part of the search, even though it may be only a small part. I think it's great that an average person can do something to help answer the question, "are we alone?". I honestly don't believe we are, it would be very vain on our part to think that we were the only sentient beings in the universe. |
