Hi,
A little bit about myself. I am currently a returning college student in my 4th year at SUNY Cobleskill NY. majoring in Network Administration. I am 57 years old and have already graduated from Coby with my Associate in Applied Science with a concentration in Computer Information Support. My intention were to continue with my education and receive my Bachelor's in End User Support however, the required classes were only offered during days and I worked a 2nd shift at the time so I decide to change my major to Network Administration. This is my last year at COBY and I have the intention to continue my education to receive my Master degree.
Currently I am enrolled in an Intergration and Interoperability course and the professor assiged us the project of Distributed Computing. I did a search on the web and found your site very interesting. I have to admit, I know very little about the subject and exactly what I have to do to be a active member. Any hel would be greatly appreciated.
Some of the research that I am required to get is how does the project protect my computer and how does the project protect itself from attacks and some techniques for making a computing problem parallel and controlling the assignment of each parallel process.
Currently I work for New York State Insurance Fund as a Computer Programmer/Analysts assigned to the ITS Quality Asssurance Group as a Technical writer for them. I have only worked for them since July 2004. Prior to being hired I spent my entire working career in Logistics. I retired from the USAF in 1986 and spent 10 more year as a civilian employee working for the Dept. of Defense. After bas eclosure I move to my present location and went to work for Wal-mart Corp. as a Loss Prevention Associate.
I love to fish, enjoy woodcarving when I have the time, and believe it or not finally "I really like school" |
