| I'm 45 and married with 2 sons 24 and 20. I live in Northern Illinois and work in a metal works factory as a "Team Support Coordinator", which when translated means learn to do it all cause we don't want to. I like the outdoors including fishing and hiking. I also enjoy astronomy and Sci-Fi shows. I like tinkering with computers and building them from time to time. I choose my screen name because when I first told people I was going to run this program to search for ET, they all said I was nuts, so I took the name and ran with it. |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

I've been running SETI ever since I first heard about it in 1999. I think it's a noble endeavor, but that our technology might not be advanced enough to do the trick, but it never hurts to try. If you look at things from the smallest particles to the largest galaxy, you see patterns that repeat. I think that life is one of these patterns that is a result of having the right things in the right place at the right time. How arrogant we would be if we thought it could only happen here. There has to be life out there, we just have to look for it.
