Profile: Raymond Walley

Personal background
By profession I am a psychometric analyst. My interests range from music to reading to philosophy to science to the cosmos. I am 61 years old and on my unteenth career, having been a soldier, single parent, butler/chef to a millionniare, taxi driver, shop keeper, etc., etc. Self educated I find it increasingly frustrating that there is still so much to learn and so little time.

I have run the Seti program for some years in the firm belief that it is unlikely that we are the only intelligent (debatable considering the state of the world today) beings in the cosmos. I doubt we will find much evidence in my life time but whatever I can do to further the frontiers of knowledge will be useful (to paraphrase Carl Sagan) to someone, somewhere, somewhen.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. Because I want to know for certain we are not a cosmic accident or a cosmic joke.

2. A good use of the natural human need to investigate.

3. Not yet.
