| I am a 26 year old man that currently is unemployed. I'm in the process of teaching myself C++ and Linux and learning Chinese Mandarin as a hobby. Gotta keep myself occupied or I'd go crazy. |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

| I run Seti@Home because then my computer is being useful and I'm helping out some scientists which is good. I think it is cool project, but I don't belive that we will ever find intelligent life out there but I like to give CPU-support to someone I thought that Seti@Home needed it most. If there were any changes I'd ask for it would be for Seti@Home compiled with -march=athlon-xp -O3 and with MMX, SSE, SSE2, SSE3 and any CPU architecture out there for an added speed boost. I belive that it can be done quite easily through BOINC. Another funny thing is that in graphics mode you can see the stars through the bottom of the graphs, but you can't see from the bottom up to the graph like it is a oneway mirror. |
