Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think this is an AWSOME project and am only too happy to be of service.
Is et out there? Of course!
Transmit a beacon to find us? Yes. Info? Little as possible but as simple and as powerful as possible. Someting showing that there is a civilization here and would like to trade information.
I run seti (and I find windows xp is having difficulties with seti for it is using up too many clockcycles when I am running applications it should be limited to 80% of system resourses or be a parameter that the user can modify.ie it can use 100% when I am not logged on but when I am active it shouldn't make the os choke)becasue it is useful and productive work. It also shows you CAN get things done without having to worship money. Knowlege IS power and this is a very powerful project.
