| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |
I did not come to know this, untill I install the Mac OS X. I went to the Apple Mac OS X webpage and found that this is a kind of interesting screen saver. I thought this is just a normal screen saver, but I did check more detail and found that this is actually live data, and also I found that the proceesing really test my PowerMac G4 processor, it's really hot. Now I have a Powermac G4 running 24hrs on SET@Home and a PowerBook.
I do hope we really find something, that will be the best discovery on the century. We should really do more on this, and I do really believe there is something out there, and also something out there is looking for communication.
I believe this is a great project, where it really uses the processor time and also it does not waste the purpose of the computer, that is to process info.
I have shown this to a few of my friends, there were very impress with it, wow a live screen saver, and looking for aliens.
My only suggestion is to make the screensaver more faster, and also a more GUI interface.
Bravo
