Originally from Falmouth in Cornwall, I now live and work in Bristol (BOOM town!), for a multinational logistics plc. I've been BOINCing since 2003, but only seriously since 2006. I'm a maths graduate from many many moons ago, having just passed my half-century. Spent 8 years in the Royal Marines, saw a lot of the world with the best bunch of lads I've had the honour to serve with. They taught me how to drink without falling over, which led me into being a licensee in London for 17 years when I left the corps... Remarried for the 3rd time(some people never learn) in Dec'06 while overcoming the 'big C', which is why I had so much free time to spend on BOINC ! Have 3 gorgeous kids, aged 19, 10 and 8, and a neighbours black furball that's adopted me...
My interests are maths (especially primes and Riemann), astronomy, decent red wine(15% rioja!), single malt, computers/IT, maritime history, and building my own library, (currently just over 22000 books, 99% reference) I LOVE BOOKS!
