Profile: Chip Master

Personal background
I live in Denmark and have done so since 1970, where I was born near Copenhagen. I'm just graduated as an Electronic Engineer and ís specialiced in computer technic.

I'm currently runnung just one P-IV CPU @ 2.53 GHz and it is turning 1 WU in average of 4 hr 30 min sec

It seems to me that it is a bit slowly - Some people uses less than 4 hours per WU on a 1.8 GHz AMD.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Sure there is other lifeforms out there, why shouldn't there be? I mean, try to be realistic!
Imagine the enourmous volume that the entire Milkyway occupy, and then compare it to the volume of Our solar system.

Just think of that tiny fraction of all the possible stars that might be able to sustain a stable planetary system, where there might be a slight possibility that any kind of life will exists. Even so, it will eventually sums up quite some possibilities.
Then scale it up to the entire universe.. . . . WOW !

SETI is far the most resonable use of "unused" CPU time, so keep up throwing those WU's at us.
