Personal background
Hi! Well, I`m 43 and live in Sheffield, England with my dog.

Some how make a living doing print support which in the past has led to me working in a few interesting locations including Hyderabad and the Falklands.

When I actually have some free time, I enjoy cycling, running, playing video games, riding and/or fixing my motorbikes and generally being quite active. Not all of the activities at the same time of course ;)

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I refuse to believe that in a universe of this size that we could possibly be the only form of life in existance. I fully believe that one day we are accidentally going to stumble across an E.T. lifeform or re-evaluate previous findings and realise that aliens have been with us for a long time eg what if dolphins were an otherworldly visitor?
My now ex-wife was running seti when I met her and I remember the colourful screen saver and the eternity her processor took to complete a unit. I had (for the time) a speedy athlon cpu, and a small problem with my video card that meant it takes ages to display properly from a cold reboot and my being too skint to afford a nice, shiny new video card, my system was left on all the time. So, rather than waste all that CPU idle time, I decided to put it to some good use.
