Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Do extraterrestrial life exist? Honestly, I say why not We do. We came about, and here we are. Why not the same happening elswhere. Life on planet Earth is like going out into the garden (the solar system). We do not have much to go on, until we are able to journey beyond that. Otherwise we can only speculate what is really out there, and thus we judge the universe by the understanding we have gained so far. I do feel there is more out there than just us. As someone once said, its an awful waste of space if we are the only lifeforms that exists. What we yearn for is just some some solid evidence for the masses which would finally put paid to speculation and stories of abductions/sightings/etc once and for all, i.e. evidence that no authority or anyone can debunk. Until that time, we will wait and see.
