Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Seti Questions:

Do you think extraterrestrial life exists? If so, when and how will humans discover it?

I do believe that extraterrestrial life does exist. I can't even begin to guess when humans will discover it, but I do think that we ourselves are aliens.

What are the possible benefits and dangers of such a discovery?

We would be able to learn from the life form that we discover assuming they will allow us to learn about them. The danger could be that maybe they are out to find another planet because they destroyed their own, much like what we are doing to our own planet.

Should humans transmit a beacon for others to find? If so, what information should we send?

I do think that we should transmit beacons because you never know, maybe someone is looking for us.
I think that the information that is sent should be a message of peace to whomever finds it.

Why do you run SETI@home? What are your views about the project? Any suggestions?

I run seti to help my team out with the results being sent out.
My views are very simple. What we are doing is simply trying to find out more information about where we came from and if we are the only ones in the universe.
