Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
SETI is the frontier of space science. The most important question man has ever asked himself is: Are we alone in the universe? SETI is trying to answer that question. We need to get back to exploring our own little corner of the universe with manned missions to Mars in order to get back the support of the general public. But, for the foreseeable future, it seems very unlikely we will ever actually go travelling beyond our own solar system. Soooo, we need to use radio communications (long distance-the next best thing to being there!) I feel confident there is someplace, another society of creatures who have arrived at the same conclusion and are sending out signals in order to make contact with others.
