Personal background
I am a novice star gazer. I started late in life in thr last 10 yeras. I am 59. I got interested by going to the stellafane star party in springfield, VT. as aboy. I had always been fascinated by what the sky held for what my life could mean. I ran away to nener - never land once as a young boy in search of peter pan and captain hook. I have a six inch reflector, but the light polution around here is so bad, I almost want to give up at times. (brattleboro, VT) I have starrynight software which is great in helping find objects in the night sky. Work and life's restrictions are hold backs just keep getting in the way of star gazing. My other is cello and reading. I am 59 and I am worried about my eye sight getting somewhat faded, so starrynight software can give coordinates I can match up before I go into the night, if I can find a suitable spot.

amature gazer,

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I have been running seti@home since 3/10/2001. I have 286 units entered. I hooked into Bionic, but can't rally understand how work units re recorded. The screen saver floats a B and the messege says, "no applications running. What does that mean. What applications should run to get credit?

Can anyone explain how Bionic works as far crediting WU's?
